Deze Korenwijn is lichter en fruitiger van smaak dan de Zeer Oude Genever van Zuidam. Dit komt doordat de moutwijn nog een keer extra is gedistilleerd. Na de zorgvuldige distillatie is hij minimaal twaalf maanden gelagerd op kleine vaten (190 liter) van Amerikaans eikenhout.
