Old Perth 2009 is samen gesteld uit whisky’s die gerijpt zijn in één Second Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt, 1 First Fill Oloroso Hogshead en 1 First Fill PX hogshead. Deze 3 vaten hebben 1.482 flessen opgeleverd die gevuld zijn met een buitengewoon rijke en complexe whisky.

Een unieke blend van 70% sherry-gerijpte Ledaig en 30% bourbon-gerijpte Tobermory. Een mooie combinatie van zoet en rokerig. Een geweldige representatie van de distillery.

De mooie bruinrood koperen kleur verraad de afkomst van deze whisky. Na een jarenlange rijping in voormalige bourbon vaten, is de whisky overgebracht naar "first-fill" Madeira vaten. Van de whisky is 43% van een geturfde variant en is 57% niet geturfd.

Hij heeft een olieachtige mondgevoel, rijke gedroogde vruchten, zoetheid en aardse tonen van oude Pedro Ximenez-vaten, een vleugje kruiden en verwarmende beukenrook in de smaak
